Thursday, Feb 26th;  Friday, Feb 27th;  Saturday, Feb 28th

This off- Broadway comedy places Albert  Einstein and  Pablo Picasso in a Parisian Cafe in 1904, just before the famed scientist revolutionized physics with  his theory of relativity and  the well- known painter transformed the art world  with  cubism. The two geniuses talk of the century's achievements and future as well as other off beat topics.  On lookers, such as Picasso's agent, the bartender and his mistress, Picasso's date, an elderly philosopher and an idiot inventor, also put in their two cents, creating a hysterical play that you surely do not want to miss.

Show Choir Charity Benefit is almost here! Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 7:00 pm

Happy Friday everyone!

Next week is the much anticipated Rock Bridge Show Choir 2015 Charity Benefit. I'm proud to announce that the show choir kids voted and True North of Columbia was the chosen charity.  What a great organization!

If anyone isn't sure about True North, here is an excerpt pulled right from their website:
"True North emergency shelter provides a safe place for victims of domestic and sexual violence fleeing from their abuser. Our statewide hotline is available toll-free and provides referral information, emotional support and safety planning twenty-four hours a day, three hundred and sixty five days a year."

So, great organization and great kids to raise money and awareness!

We are going to have a fun night of performance and fund raising. This year, we have had local businesses donate some great prizes to raffle off.   We have dinner certificates, hot yoga passes, a massage, gift baskets and a beautiful necklace donated by L.C.Betz with a value of $300.00!  I will recognize all donations by their name at the benefit, there are just too many and I don't want to forget one person or business.  The raffle ticket cost will be $1.00 per ticket, $5.00 for 6 tickets, and 10.00 for 12 tickets!  We wanted to give everyone a chance to win one of these great prizes.

So, my "ASK" of you is to help spread the word about the performance AND come enjoy our multi-award winning Rock Bridge show choirs, knowing that every dollar from entrance fee to any extra donation will go directly to True North.

We will also have places to drop your tangible donations of diapers, baby wipes, toiletries etc., so please pick up something to drop in our donation box. (A free raffle ticket for each donation in the box!).

So, let's get this ball rolling!  Tuesday, February 10th, 7:00pm at the Rock Bridge Performing Arts Center.

Thank you to all the volunteers and parents of these great kids!

Any questions?  Please call me, Brenda Mertz at 573-424-2493, or email me at madibren@aol.com. I can't wait for next Tuesday!  Call the ticket reservation line to reserve your tickets!  573-214-3119.

"The Dining Room" presented by RBHS Advanced Acting Dec. 4,5,6 @ 7pm

The Dining Room
Dec. 4,5,6  7:00 pm
Ticket Prices: $6. adults; $4. Students with ID, Free with RB Activity Pass

This production presented by the Advanced Acting Class is set in the dining room of a typical well-to-do household, the place where the family assembled daily for breakfast and dinner and for any and all special occasions. The action is a mosaic of interrelated scenes that are funny, touching and rueful and when put together, create an in-depth portrait of a vanishing species: the upper-middle-class WASP.  The actors change roles, personalities, and ages with great skill as they portray a wide variety of characters, from little boys to stern grandfathers and from giggling teenage girls to Irish housemaids. A story is woven through the varied scenes into a theatrical experience of exceptional range, compassionate humor and abundant humanity. Come and be entertained by our amazingly talented Rock Bridge Students!
